Spawned from a fascination of music, dancing and psychedelic journeys, Cephalopod emerges from the deep abyss, weaving a sonic tapestry rich with primordial polyrhythms and mystic melodies that mutate between darkness and light, flowing forward like convection currents, and dripping in ancient ink.
Fusing organic textural sounds with syncopated beats, backed by an underlying tribal pulse that causes every vertebra to vibrate - Cephalopod creates a playful aesthetic that unfurls with mischief.
Inspired by movement practices and ecstatic dance, Cephalopod's sound is crafted and broadcast with deep embodiment and awareness, culminating in an engaging and lively set transmission. In performances across Australia, Cephalopod has shared the stage with legends Scionaugh, Smilk, Wasabi, Akudra, Arjuna, opened for Dekel at Tanglewood of 2023/24, and has played a special back-to-back set with Merkaba.
